Spicy Korean Noodles
A fiery and flavorful Korean noodle dish featuring a gochujang-based sauce, fresh vegetables, and your choice of protein.
Ingredients
- 4 packs ramen noodles
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 4 tbsp gochujang
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 green onions
- 2 carrots
- 5 oz spinach
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Steps
- Slice chicken breast into thin strips. Mince garlic and grate ginger. Chop green onions and julienne carrots.
- In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to create the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add carrots to the same skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender. Add spinach and cook until wilted, about 1-2 minutes.
- Cook ramen noodles according to package directions. Drain well, discarding seasoning packets.
- Add cooked chicken and drained ramen noodles to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over everything and toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in chopped green onions. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with optional sesame seeds.
