Aussie Burgers
Experience the unique flavors of Australia with these hearty beef burgers, topped with tangy beet, fresh arugula, and a creamy sour cream and chive dip, all served on toasted naan.
Ingredients
- 1⅛ lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3½ oz cooked beet
- 4 naan bread
- 1¾ oz arugula (arugula)
- 4 tbsp sour cream and chive dip
Steps
- In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Using wet hands, mix well and form into four equal burger patties.
- Slice the cooked beet and prepare the naan breads by splitting them in half.
- Heat a griddle pan or barbecue over medium-high heat. Toast the naan halves on both sides until lightly golden, then set aside.
- Place the burger patties on the hot griddle or barbecue. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness.
- To assemble, place half a toasted naan on each plate. Top with a pile of arugula, then a cooked burger patty.
- Add a few slices of beet and a dollop of sour cream and chive dip to each burger. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired, and serve immediately.
