Ingredients

  • 1½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • ¼ cup dry white wine (e.g., Pinot Grigio) (optional)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 loaf crusty bread (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Add white wine if desired.
  3. Place shrimp in a single layer on a baking sheet. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the shrimp.
  4. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and opaque, tossing halfway through.
  5. Remove from oven and stir in fresh parsley.
