Four Cheese Pasta Bake
A rich and comforting pasta bake featuring a blend of four delicious cheeses, perfect for a hearty family meal.
Ingredients
- 12 oz Penne pasta
- 24 oz Marinara sauce
- 15 oz Ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup Provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook penne pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain well.
- In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, 1/4 cup Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom.
- Add the cooked penne to the baking dish, then dollop the ricotta mixture evenly over the pasta.
- Top with the remaining marinara sauce, then sprinkle generously with mozzarella, provolone, and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden. If desired, broil for the last 2-3 minutes for extra browning.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if using.
