Ingredients

  • 12 oz Penne pasta
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce
  • 15 oz Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • ½ tsp Garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook penne pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, 1/4 cup Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom.
  4. Add the cooked penne to the baking dish, then dollop the ricotta mixture evenly over the pasta.
  5. Top with the remaining marinara sauce, then sprinkle generously with mozzarella, provolone, and the remaining Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden. If desired, broil for the last 2-3 minutes for extra browning.
  7. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if using.
