Jajek (Yogurt and Cucumber Salad)

Ingredients

  • 2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried mint
  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 ice cubes (optional)

Steps

  1. Peel and crush the garlic clove.
  2. In a food processor, combine yogurt, cold water, crushed garlic, and salt. Process for a few seconds until smooth.
  3. Transfer the yogurt mixture to a bowl.
  4. Dice the cucumber into small pieces.
  5. Stir the dried mint and diced cucumber into the yogurt mixture.
  6. Chill the jajek for a few hours before serving for best flavor.
  7. Optionally, add a few ice cubes to each serving for extra refreshment.
