Ramen Noodles with Boiled Egg
A simple and comforting bowl of ramen noodles topped with a perfectly boiled egg, seasoned with soy and chili sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 ramen noodle packets
- 8 cup water
- 4 large eggs
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp chili sauce
- 4 tbsp green onions (optional)
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
Steps
- Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Gently add the eggs and cook for 6.5 to 7 minutes for a soft-boiled egg.
- Immediately transfer the cooked eggs to an ice bath for 3-5 minutes to stop the cooking process. Peel the eggs.
- Cook ramen noodles according to package directions, typically in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain most of the water, leaving about 1/2 cup per serving.
- Stir in the ramen seasoning packets, soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, and pepper into the noodles and broth.
- Slice each peeled egg in half. Serve the ramen in bowls, topping each with two egg halves.
- Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
