Thai-Style Steamed Fish
A light and flavorful Thai-style steamed fish dish with ginger, chili, lime, and bok choy, all cooked in a convenient foil packet.
Ingredients
- 4 trout fillets
- 2 inch fresh ginger
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 red chili
- 2 lime
- 6 baby bok choy
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
Steps
- Prepare four large squares of foil. Place one fish fillet on each square.
- Grate ginger, mince garlic, finely dice red chili, and zest one lime. Distribute these aromatics over the fish fillets.
- Juice the limes and drizzle the lime juice over the fish.
- Arrange the baby bok choy around and on top of the fish on each foil square.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of soy sauce over the bok choy on each fillet.
- Loosely seal each foil package, ensuring space for steam circulation.
- Steam the foil packages for 15 minutes, either in a steamer or on a heatproof plate over simmering water, covered with a lid.
- Carefully open the foil packets and serve immediately.
