Ingredients

  • 12 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 carrots
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 green onions (optional)

Steps

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic and ginger. Thinly slice carrots and bell pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water to create the sauce.
  4. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  5. Add garlic, ginger, carrots, bell pepper, and broccoli to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles and pour the sauce over everything. Toss to combine and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired, and serve immediately.
