15-Minute Lo Mein
A quick and savory lo mein dish featuring tender noodles and your choice of protein, perfect for a speedy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 12 oz lo mein noodles
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 carrots
- 1 bell pepper
- 2 cup broccoli florets
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 green onions (optional)
Steps
- Cook lo mein noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic and ginger. Thinly slice carrots and bell pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water to create the sauce.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add garlic, ginger, carrots, bell pepper, and broccoli to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles and pour the sauce over everything. Toss to combine and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles.
- Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired, and serve immediately.
