Air Fryer Egg Rolls
Crispy, savory egg rolls filled with seasoned ground pork and a medley of vegetables, perfectly cooked in an air fryer for a healthier take on a Chinese classic.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 carrot
- 3 scallions
- 3 cup cabbage
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 serving duck sauce (optional)
- 1 serving plum sauce (optional)
Steps
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground pork. Break apart the meat and cook for 6-8 minutes until browned.
- Add garlic, ginger, carrot, scallions, and cabbage to the skillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until cabbage wilts, stirring regularly.
- Stir in soy sauce and rice wine vinegar, then remove the filling from heat and let it cool.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper like a diamond. Place about 1/4 cup of filling in the center, wet the edges, fold in the sides, and roll tightly into a cylinder. Repeat for all wrappers.
- Lightly brush or spray the assembled egg rolls with oil.
- Place egg rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with duck sauce, plum sauce, or extra soy sauce for dipping.
