Beef and Bean Burritos

Hearty and satisfying, these beef and bean burritos are packed with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, and cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 15 oz canned refried beans
  • 1½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 count flour tortillas
  • ½ cup salsa (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)
  • ¼ cup cilantro (optional)

Steps

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook until onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add refried beans to the beef mixture and stir until well combined and heated through.
  5. Warm tortillas according to package directions. Spoon about 1/2 cup of the beef and bean mixture onto the center of each tortilla.
  6. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally with salsa, sour cream, and fresh cilantro.
