Beef Shish Kebabs
Tender marinated beef and colorful vegetables grilled to perfection on skewers, offering a delightful and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb sirloin steak
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 red onion
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 8 wooden skewers (optional)
Steps
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Cut the sirloin steak into 1-inch cubes. Dice the bell peppers and red onion into similar 1-inch pieces. Mince the garlic.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the beef cubes to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated beef, bell peppers, red onion, and cherry tomatoes onto the skewers, alternating ingredients.
- Grill the kebabs for 8-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness and the vegetables are tender-crisp.
