Ingredients

  • 16 oz yakisoba noodles
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak
  • ½ head cabbage
  • 2 carrot
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 3 green onions (optional)
  • ¾ cup yakisoba sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Steps

  1. Prepare the yakisoba noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Slice the beef thinly against the grain. Cut cabbage into thin strips, julienne carrots, and thinly slice the yellow onion. Mince garlic and ginger.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  4. Add remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the same skillet. Add yellow onion, carrots, garlic, and ginger, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
  5. Add cabbage to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add the prepared yakisoba noodles and pour in the yakisoba sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired, and serve immediately.
