Ingredients

  • 1½ lb cod fillets
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • ½ head red cabbage
  • 2 lime
  • ½ bunch cilantro (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Prepare the lime crema: In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, juice from 1 lime, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  2. Slice the red cabbage thinly and chop the cilantro. Set aside.
  3. Pat cod fillets dry and cut into 1-inch wide strips. In a medium bowl, toss cod with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cod strips and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until flaky and cooked through.
  5. Warm tortillas according to package directions (microwave, dry skillet, or oven).
  6. Assemble tacos: Fill each warm tortilla with cooked cod, shredded cabbage, a drizzle of lime crema, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges.
