Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 6 clove garlic
  • ½ cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. While pasta cooks, pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in white wine (if using) and lemon juice, bringing to a simmer.
  6. Add cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat. If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to create a silky sauce.
  7. Stir in fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
