Garlic Parmesan Pasta
A simple yet satisfying pasta dish featuring tender spaghetti coated in a rich, garlicky Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 12 oz Spaghetti
- 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 6 clove Garlic
- ½ cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
- ¾ cup Reserved pasta water
Steps
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions in a large pot of salted water. Before draining, reserve 3/4 cup of the starchy pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
