Garlic Parmesan Pasta

A simple yet satisfying pasta dish featuring tender spaghetti coated in a rich, garlicky Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 6 clove Garlic
  • ½ cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • ¾ cup Reserved pasta water

Steps

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions in a large pot of salted water. Before draining, reserve 3/4 cup of the starchy pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to low and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
