Ground Turkey Taco Skillet
A quick and easy one-pan skillet meal featuring seasoned ground turkey, corn, and black beans, perfect for a weeknight family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 14½ oz diced tomatoes
- 15 oz black beans
- 1 cup corn
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup cheddar cheese (optional)
- ¼ cup cilantro (optional)
- ½ lime (optional)
Steps
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart, until browned.
- Drain any excess fat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in taco seasoning, diced tomatoes (undrained), rinsed black beans, corn, and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through and slightly thickened.
- If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, cover, and cook until melted.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice, if using. Serve hot.
