Ingredients

  • 1 bread roll
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 onion
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ tsp marjoram
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Soak the bread roll in milk until softened. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and fry it in a tablespoon of oil over medium heat for 8 minutes until soft and golden.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked onion, egg, minced garlic, marjoram, salt, and pepper.
  3. Squeeze excess milk from the softened bread roll and add it to the beef mixture. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Divide the meat mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  5. Place breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl and coat each patty evenly with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat the remaining vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the patties in batches for 6-7 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite Polish sides.
