Mahi-Mahi Tacos
Flaky mahi-mahi seasoned and seared, served in warm tortillas with crisp cabbage, creamy avocado, and a zesty lime crema.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb Mahi-Mahi fillets
- 12 Corn tortillas
- ½ head Red cabbage
- 2 Avocado
- 2 Lime
- ¼ bunch Cilantro (optional)
- ½ cup Sour cream
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- ½ tsp Cumin
- ½ tsp Garlic powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
Steps
- Pat mahi-mahi fillets dry and season with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine sour cream with the juice of one lime and a pinch of salt to make the lime crema. Thin with a little water if needed.
- Shred red cabbage and dice avocado. Chop cilantro if using.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear mahi-mahi for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flaky.
- Warm tortillas according to package directions (microwave, dry skillet, or oven).
- Flake the cooked mahi-mahi into bite-sized pieces.
- Assemble tacos: fill warm tortillas with flaked mahi-mahi, shredded cabbage, diced avocado, a drizzle of lime crema, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
