Mediterranean Pizza
A vibrant and flavorful pizza topped with fresh Mediterranean ingredients like feta, olives, and sun-dried tomatoes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 clove garlic
- 1½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
- ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes, packed in oil, drained and chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 cup fresh spinach (optional)
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the olive oil base, then scatter the feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and red onion (if using) evenly over the pizza.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Remove from oven, top with fresh spinach and basil (if using), slice, and serve immediately.
