Ingredients

  • 4 cup vegetable oil
  • 15 oz beef gravy
  • 2 lb potatoes
  • 2 cup cheese curds

Steps

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy skillet to 365°F (185°C).
  2. Warm the beef gravy in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave until hot.
  3. Carefully add the potatoes (cut into thin fries) to the hot oil and fry until light golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove the fries from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel-lined plate.
  5. Divide the hot fries among serving plates, then immediately sprinkle generously with cheese curds.
  6. Ladle the warm gravy over the fries and cheese curds and serve immediately.
