Salmon Quiche
A savory and elegant quiche featuring flaky salmon, fresh dill, and creamy eggs baked in a buttery pie crust.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- ¾ lb salmon fillet
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp dill, fresh
- 1 shallot
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp butter
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
- Bake the pie crust for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside.
- Flake the cooked salmon into small pieces, removing any skin and bones. Finely dice the shallot. Roughly chop the fresh dill.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir in the flaked salmon, diced shallot, chopped dill, and shredded Swiss cheese.
- Pour the salmon mixture evenly into the pre-baked pie crust.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let the quiche cool for at least 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
