Salmon Tacos
Flaky salmon seasoned and pan-seared, served in warm tortillas with a vibrant slaw and creamy sauce for a fresh and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 12 corn tortillas
- 2 cup red cabbage
- 2 lime
- ½ cup cilantro (optional)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp sriracha (optional)
Steps
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season with chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon for 3-5 minutes per side, until cooked through and flaky. Remove from skillet and flake into bite-sized pieces.
- While salmon cooks, thinly slice red cabbage and chop cilantro. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, the juice of one lime, and sriracha (if using) for the sauce.
- Warm tortillas according to package directions. You can heat them in a dry skillet, microwave, or oven.
- Assemble tacos: place flaked salmon in warm tortillas, top with red cabbage slaw, a squeeze of fresh lime juice, and a drizzle of the creamy sauce. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
