Shrimp Alfredo
A creamy and indulgent pasta dish featuring tender shrimp tossed in a rich Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1½ cup heavy cream
- 1½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 clove garlic
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Steps
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Pour heavy cream into the skillet, bring to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
