Shrimp Yakisoba
A classic Japanese stir-fry featuring savory shrimp and vegetables tossed with noodles in a rich, tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- 18 oz yakisoba noodles
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup carrot, julienned
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- ¾ cup yakisoba sauce
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
Steps
- Prepare yakisoba noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Add sliced onion, carrot, and bell pepper to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender. Add shredded cabbage and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked noodles and pour in the yakisoba sauce.
- Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired.
