Ingredients

  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 oz taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 1 lime (optional)
  • ¼ cup cilantro (optional)
  • 2 cup shredded lettuce (optional)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional)

Steps

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the chicken, then pour salsa and chicken broth over the top.
  3. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until chicken is easily shredded.
  4. Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with two forks. Return shredded chicken to the sauce and stir to combine.
  5. Warm tortillas according to package directions.
