Ingredients

  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions (optional)

Steps

  1. Cut chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces. Mince garlic and grate ginger.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil.
  3. In a separate small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in water to create a slurry.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour the soy garlic sauce over the chicken. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry.
  6. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, if desired.
  8. Serve immediately with rice or noodles.
