Spicy Crab Pasta
A delightful pasta dish featuring sweet crab meat tossed in a vibrant, spicy tomato sauce with a hint of white wine and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 clove garlic
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup dry white wine
- 1 lb lump crab meat
- ¼ cup fresh parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 4 lemon wedge (optional)
Steps
- Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and white wine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the lump crab meat, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Gently stir to combine and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the drained linguine to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat, adding a splash or two of reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Stir in fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with a lemon wedge if desired.
