Spicy Pork Wraps
Quick and flavorful, these spicy pork wraps feature ground pork seasoned with Asian-inspired spices, crisp lettuce, and fresh vegetables for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 8 oz water chestnuts
- 4 green onions
- 1 head butter lettuce
- ½ cup shredded carrots (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Steps
- Mince garlic and ginger. Drain and finely chop water chestnuts. Slice green onions, separating white and green parts.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground pork and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add minced garlic, ginger, and the white parts of the green onions to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, and brown sugar. Add chopped water chestnuts. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the green parts of the green onions.
- Separate the butter lettuce leaves to create cups. Spoon the pork mixture into the lettuce cups.
- Garnish with shredded carrots and sesame seeds, if desired, and serve immediately.
