Spinach and Feta Pizza
A delightful vegetarian pizza featuring a savory combination of fresh spinach, tangy feta cheese, and a hint of garlic on a crispy crust.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 6 oz fresh spinach
- 4 oz feta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape.
- Mince the garlic. In a small bowl, toss the spinach with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the pizza dough with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella cheese, then top with the seasoned spinach mixture.
- Crumble the feta cheese over the spinach. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
- Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or pizza stone. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
