White Pizza
Enjoy a classic white pizza topped with a rich garlic-Parmesan sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, and fresh basil.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Pizza dough
- 1½ cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ¾ cup Ricotta cheese
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 clove Garlic
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- ¼ cup Fresh basil (optional)
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Black pepper
- ¼ tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
- Mince the garlic. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to create the garlic sauce.
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet dusted with cornmeal.
- Brush the garlic sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
- Dollop spoonfuls of ricotta cheese over the pizza.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from oven, drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and garnish with fresh basil and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Slice and serve hot.
