Air Fryer Chicken Tenders
Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these air fryer chicken tenders are a quick and easy weeknight meal that kids and adults will love.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ¾ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cooking spray
- ¼ cup ketchup (optional)
- ¼ cup honey mustard (optional)
Steps
- Pat chicken tenderloins dry with paper towels. In three separate shallow dishes, set up your breading station: one with flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper; one with beaten eggs; and one with panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken tender first in the seasoned flour, shaking off excess, then dip into the egg, letting any extra drip off, and finally coat thoroughly in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the breaded chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd (cook in batches if necessary). Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C).
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup or honey mustard.
