Baked Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 egg
  • 1½ cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cooking spray

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  2. Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Set up a breading station: one shallow dish with flour, one with whisked eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in egg, and finally coat thoroughly in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Place coated chicken pieces in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Spray the tops of the nuggets lightly with cooking spray.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
