Baked Salmon with Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1½ lb salmon fillets
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh dill (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Trim the woody ends off the asparagus.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Squeeze half of the lemon into the mixture.
- Place salmon and asparagus on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil mixture over both the salmon and asparagus, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and asparagus is tender-crisp.
- Garnish with fresh dill and serve with the remaining lemon wedges.
