Baked Tilapia
Flaky baked tilapia seasoned with herbs and lemon, offering a light and healthy meal perfect for any weeknight.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb tilapia fillets
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat tilapia fillets dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the tilapia fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush both sides of each fillet with the olive oil mixture.
- Slice the lemon into thin rounds. Place a lemon slice on top of each fillet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
