  • 2½ lb bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove chicken from the oven. Brush generously with BBQ sauce, ensuring full coverage.
  6. Return chicken to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 175°F (80°C) and the sauce is caramelized.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
