Ingredients
- 2½ lb bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1½ cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove chicken from the oven. Brush generously with BBQ sauce, ensuring full coverage.
- Return chicken to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 175°F (80°C) and the sauce is caramelized.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
