Bean & Sausage Hotpot
A hearty and comforting British hotpot featuring browned sausages, butter beans, and a rich tomato sauce with a hint of molasses and mustard.
Ingredients
- 4 pork sausages
- 24 oz tomato sauce
- 28 oz butter beans
- ½ tbsp black molasses
- ½ tsp English mustard
- 1 loaf crusty bread (optional)
- 2 cup rice (optional)
Steps
- Brown the sausages in a large casserole dish over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Drain any excess fat from the casserole dish.
- Add the tomato sauce, butter beans, black molasses, and English mustard to the casserole dish. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover the casserole, and cook for 30 minutes.
- Serve the hotpot hot, optionally with crusty bread or rice.
