Full English Breakfast
A hearty and classic British breakfast featuring an array of fried delights, perfect for a weekend treat.
Ingredients
- 8 pork sausages
- 12 slice bacon
- 8 mushrooms
- 8 tomatoes
- 4 slice black pudding (optional)
- 8 eggs
- 4 slice bread
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Heat a large grill plate or skillet over low heat with a little olive oil. Cook sausages for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden. Increase heat to medium after 10 minutes.
- While sausages cook, snip fatty edges of bacon. Add bacon to the grill and fry for 2-4 minutes per side until desired crispiness. Keep cooked items warm in the oven.
- Clean and trim mushrooms, season with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. Cook stalk-side up for 1-2 minutes, then turn and cook for 3-4 minutes more.
- Halve tomatoes, remove the core, season, and drizzle with olive oil. Place cut-side down on the grill and cook for 2 minutes without moving, then flip and cook for 2-3 minutes more.
- Slice black pudding, remove skin, and cook on the grill for 1.5-2 minutes per side until slightly crispy.
- Fry eggs to your preference and toast or fry bread slices.
- Serve all components immediately, assembled on plates.
