Beef Stroganoff Hotdish
A comforting casserole combining tender beef, creamy mushroom sauce, and egg noodles, baked to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 10½ oz cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup sour cream
- ½ cup milk
- 1 medium onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet or Dutch oven, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the beef mixture and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley, if using, before serving.
