Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1½ lb white fish fillets
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 little gem lettuce
  • 4 green onions
  • 1¼ cup salsa
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp salt (optional)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)

Steps

  1. Combine Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper on a plate. Coat fish fillets thoroughly with the spice mixture.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add fish and cook for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Cook in batches if necessary.
  3. While fish cooks, prepare the dressing: finely chop garlic and combine with sour cream and the juice of half a lemon. Season to taste.
  4. Warm tortillas in the microwave for 5-10 seconds or in a dry pan until soft.
  5. Slice avocado, shred lettuce, and thinly slice green onions.
  6. Assemble tacos: layer warm tortillas with shredded lettuce, avocado, and green onions. Top with flaked fish, a spoonful of salsa, and a drizzle of the sour cream dressing.
