Cevapi Sausages
Flavorful Croatian grilled sausages made from a blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned with onion, garlic, and paprika.
Ingredients
- 1⅛ lb ground beef
- 0.55 lb ground pork
- 1 onion
- 4 clove garlic
- 3 tbsp fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp paprika
- ¾ tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 vegetable bouillon cube
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Steps
- Finely chop the onion and grate the garlic.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, grated garlic, parsley, paprika, baking powder, breadcrumbs, water, crumbled vegetable bouillon cube, salt, and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly by hand until all ingredients are well combined. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
- Form the meat mixture into thumb-thick, 3-4 inch long sausage rolls (about 50-55g each).
- Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the cevapi for 12-14 minutes, turning several times, until browned and cooked through.
- Serve hot with your preferred accompaniments.
