Cheeseburger Casserole
Enjoy all the comforting flavors of a classic cheeseburger in an easy-to-make casserole.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 2 tbsp dill pickle relish
- 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 4 hamburger buns (optional)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brown ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Stir in 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Combine the beef mixture with the egg and cheese mixture. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- If using, tear hamburger buns into pieces and scatter over the top of the casserole. Sprinkle with remaining 0.5 cup cheddar cheese and sesame seeds (if using).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
