Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, 80/20
  • 8 taco shells or small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ onion, small
  • ½ cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 2 cups lettuce, shredded
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Steps

  1. Finely dice the onion and shred the lettuce. Slice the pickles.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Stir in the diced onion and cook for 3-5 minutes until softened.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Add the shredded cheese over the beef and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes until melted.
  5. Warm the taco shells or tortillas according to package directions.
  6. Assemble the tacos: spoon the cheeseburger mixture into the warm shells/tortillas. Top with shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
