Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole
This comforting casserole combines shredded potatoes with a creamy, cheesy sauce, baked until golden and bubbly.
Ingredients
- 20 oz frozen hash brown potatoes
- 10½ oz cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz sour cream
- 2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden.
- Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
