Cheesy Hashbrown Casserole

Ingredients

  • 20 oz frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 10½ oz cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the thawed hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, melted butter, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
  5. Remove from oven, sprinkle with the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.
