Chilean Sea Bass with Lemon Butter Sauce
Flaky Chilean sea bass pan-seared to perfection, served with a bright and tangy lemon butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb Chilean Sea Bass fillets
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2 lemon
- 2 clove garlic
- ¼ cup fresh parsley (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup white wine (optional)
Steps
- Pat the Chilean sea bass fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the fish fillets skin-side down (if applicable) for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky. Remove fish from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet and melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in white wine (if using) and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Stir in chopped fresh parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Spoon the lemon butter sauce generously over the cooked Chilean sea bass fillets and serve immediately.
