Classic Baby Back Ribs
Tender, fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, slow-cooked and basted with a savory BBQ sauce.
Ingredients
- 2½ lb baby back ribs
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup water
- 1½ cup BBQ sauce
Steps
- Preheat oven to 275 F (135 C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper to create the dry rub. Generously rub the mixture all over the ribs.
- Place ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Combine apple cider vinegar and water and pour over the ribs. Seal the foil tightly around the ribs.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5-3 hours, or until very tender.
- Carefully remove ribs from foil, discarding liquid. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Baste ribs with BBQ sauce.
- Grill ribs for 10-15 minutes, turning and basting frequently, until caramelized and slightly charred. Serve immediately.
