Classic Fried Pork Chops
Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, these classic fried pork chops are a comforting and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 2 lemon wedges (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Steps
- Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Set up a breading station: in one shallow dish, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. In a second shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk. In a third shallow dish, place bread crumbs.
- Dredge each pork chop first in the seasoned flour, shaking off excess, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat thoroughly with bread crumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Carefully place 2 pork chops in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 145°F). Remove from skillet and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
- Repeat with the remaining pork chops. Serve immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and fresh parsley if desired.
