Classic Meatloaf
A comforting and savory classic, this meatloaf is made with a blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned perfectly, and topped with a tangy glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ lb ground pork
- ½ cup onion
- 2 clove garlic
- ¾ cup bread crumbs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar for the glaze. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 F (71 C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
