Classic Meatloaf

A comforting and savory classic, this meatloaf is made with a blend of ground beef and pork, seasoned perfectly, and topped with a tangy glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ lb ground pork
  • ½ cup onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F (175 C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, Dijon mustard, and brown sugar for the glaze. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 F (71 C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
