Classic Tuna Salad Sandwich
A timeless and satisfying sandwich featuring a creamy tuna salad mixture on your favorite bread.
Ingredients
- 12 oz canned tuna in water, drained
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 stalk celery, finely diced
- ¼ cup red onion, finely minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 8 slices sandwich bread
- 4 lettuce leaves (optional)
- 1 tomato, sliced (optional)
Steps
- Drain the canned tuna thoroughly and flake it into a medium bowl.
- Add mayonnaise, diced celery, minced red onion, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the tuna.
- Mix all ingredients well until combined and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Spoon the tuna salad onto 4 slices of sandwich bread.
