Turkey Burgers
Juicy and flavorful turkey burgers, a lighter alternative to beef, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or backyard BBQ.
Ingredients
- 1¼ lb ground turkey
- ¼ cup onion
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves (optional)
- 4 tomato slices (optional)
- 4 red onion slices (optional)
- 4 slices pickles (optional)
- 2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 2 tbsp mustard (optional)
Steps
- Finely dice the onion.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into four equal patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, or preheat your grill to medium.
- Cook the turkey burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, or until an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached and they are no longer pink in the center.
- Lightly toast the hamburger buns, if desired.
- Assemble burgers on buns with desired toppings and condiments.
