Ingredients

  • 1¼ lb ground turkey
  • ¼ cup onion
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves (optional)
  • 4 tomato slices (optional)
  • 4 red onion slices (optional)
  • 4 slices pickles (optional)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp mustard (optional)

Steps

  1. Finely dice the onion.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Form the mixture into four equal patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, or preheat your grill to medium.
  5. Cook the turkey burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, or until an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached and they are no longer pink in the center.
  6. Lightly toast the hamburger buns, if desired.
  7. Assemble burgers on buns with desired toppings and condiments.
