Ingredients

  • 1¼ lb ground turkey
  • ¼ cup onion
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves (optional)
  • 4 tomato slices (optional)
  • 4 onion slices (optional)
  • 4 pickles (optional)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp mustard (optional)

Steps

  1. Finely dice the onion.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, egg, and bread crumbs. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, or preheat your grill to medium.
  5. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
  6. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
