Classic Turkey Burgers
A healthier take on a classic, these juicy turkey burgers are seasoned perfectly and ready for your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- 1¼ lb ground turkey
- ¼ cup onion
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves (optional)
- 4 tomato slices (optional)
- 4 onion slices (optional)
- 4 pickles (optional)
- 2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 2 tbsp mustard (optional)
Steps
- Finely dice the onion.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, egg, and bread crumbs. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties, about 3/4-inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, or preheat your grill to medium.
- Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
- Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.
