Classic Turkey Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground turkey
  • ½ cup onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • ½ cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Finely dice the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to make the glaze.
  5. Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from oven, spread the remaining glaze over the meatloaf, and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
