Classic Turkey Meatloaf
A comforting and savory turkey meatloaf, perfect for a family dinner with a tangy glaze.
Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground turkey
- ½ cup onion
- 2 clove garlic
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Finely dice the onion and mince the garlic.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, diced onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to make the glaze.
- Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then remove from oven, spread the remaining glaze over the meatloaf, and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
